Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Vault Pro, a password manager run by Abdul Hannan as an independent project. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Vault Pro lets you store login details in an encrypted vault, unlock it with a Master PIN (or a passkey), and optionally back it up to your own Google Drive. The service is provided free of charge.
2. Your account and your secrets
- You must give a real email address that you control.
- You are responsible for your login password, your Master PIN, your recovery key and your devices. Keep them private.
- Your vault is encrypted with a key that comes from your Master PIN. If you forget your Master PIN and have no recovery key, your vault cannot be recovered by anyone.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or store or share content that is illegal;
- try to access other people's accounts or data, or to break, overload or probe the service;
- use automated tools to sign up or to guess passwords or PINs;
- misuse Vault Pro to harm others.
We may limit or close accounts that break these rules.
4. Backups are your responsibility
The service can make an encrypted backup to your Google Drive, but it may fail, for example if your Google access expires. Check your Backup page from time to time and keep your own recovery key safe.
5. No guarantees
Vault Pro is provided "as is" and "as available", without promises of any kind. The service may be slow, may go offline, may change, or may stop altogether. It runs on free hosting and can be unavailable for periods of time. Please do not rely on it as the only copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
6. Limit of responsibility
To the extent the law allows, the operator is not responsible for loss of data, loss of access, or any indirect or consequential damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the service. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited.
7. Ending your use
You can stop at any time and delete your account in Settings → Delete my account. We may suspend or end the service or an account, and we will try to give notice where we reasonably can.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. Using the service after a change means you accept it.
